The message of You Do You is really about not being so hard on yourself when you need to take time to reset and recharge. It's one of the most downtempo tracks we have written, but also one of the most uplifting. It's the audio equivalent of pouring a wee glass of whatever you like, turning on the out-of-office and starting to feel okay once again, even if you don't know how to feel okay.

Lyrics
Honey, you do you
And I will do me,
That’s all we really need.
Gotta catch up with myself,
But don’t forget yourself and all you need.
Cause I’m on the verge of breaking down
(Don’t forget yourself)
And I really don’t think you need me around
Right now
But I’m not in the mood for giving up, I swear,
I’m trying so hard to keep my chin up,
I really just need a little time off.
I must confess what’s on my chest today:
I feel a little lost,
I feel a little led astray.
I feel the cost of yesterday,
I don’t know how to feel okay.
So you do you and I’ll do me.
Honey, how you been?
I’ve been wondering
When d’you fancy one more gin?
I’ve been staying up too late
I just can’t sleep
Thinking too much on my sins
Cause I’m on the verge of breaking down
(Don’t forget yourself)
And I really don’t think I need you around, around.
But I’m not in the mood for giving up, I swear,
I really just need to keep my chin up,
I really just need a little time off.
I think I need a glass of wine today.
I fell a little numb,
I feel a little out of place,
I’m feeling so hung-up over the cost of yesterday.
I don’t know how to feel, okay?
I must confess what’s on my chest today:
I feel a little lost,
I feel a little led astray.
I feel the cost of yesterday,
I don’t know how to feel okay.
So you do you and I’ll do me.
